Success Stories - UNB Robotics Competition

The UNB Robotics Foundation hosts an Annual Robotics Competition in February and the IEEE Student Branch is heavily involved. This competition brings teams from across the Atlantic Provinces and beyond, from both the University and the high school level together for a fun filled, action packed weekend of construction and competition - and cash prizes. The UNB Robotics Competition is an opportunity for students to build a robot to perform a specific task. This task will be revealed to the teams the night before the competition, making this competition fun and challenging for the competitors. Only having twelve hours to build a robot to complete the specified task not only requires the teams to think quickly on their feet but also encourages teamwork amongst them.

As one of the sponsors, the IEEE Canadian Foundation has funded this event for three consecutive years - starting in 2005. This is normally the limit of foundation sponsorship. This event is now well established.
