the 1994 merger of IEEE Region 7 with the Canadian Society of Electrical
and Computer Engineering, it is the Canadian arm of IEEE and a
consituent society of the Engineering Institute of Canada. Also,

Canada - the EIC is a federation of technical societies, and the
leading proponent of continuing education and technical professional
development in the Canadian engineering community.
