Burlington, Ontario Scott graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton with a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer) degree in 1993. Following university, Scott joined the Bell group of companies and over a number of years held various positions in the fields of Network Operations, Managed Services, Service Management and Product Management. This was followed by a 3 year term at Loblaw Companies leading the Data Centre Operations and Service Management functions. Scott is now at Cogeco Cable in Burlington where he is thoroughly enjoying his role as the Sr Director of Infrastructure & Operations. An IEEE member since 1992 and elevated to Senior Member since, Scott has been involved in the Hamilton Section as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chair and Chair (a few times!). Awarded the M.B. Broughton award for Central Canada, Scott was instrumental in rejuvenating the Hamilton Section which had suffered a period of limited activity. Similarly, Scott served on the IEEE Canada Board as the Central Canada Area Chair, Industry Relations and is currently a member of the IEEE Canada Audit committee as well as newly appointed Secretary for the IEEE Canadian Foundation.
